Name: Michael Scotts
Alias: Radiant Beam
Affiliation: Paragon Rescue Service, Defender General
Age: 27
Height: 6'3"
Origin: USA
Employment: superhero
Likes: drinking, "Your Mom" jokes, radiation, Kuroda Yuuki
Dislikes: being told what to do, logically prepared arguments, Felis Kur
Powers:
Rad has the power to emit radiation for various purposes, such as long-range radiation blasts, cutting off the regenerative powers of others, and thwarting the ability to father children. As the story goes, if the integrity of his various battle suits is compromised, a nuclear disaster would take place. He also possesses and abuses the ability to fly.
Personality:
Intimidatingly loud and bizarre at first meeting. Supposedly a scientific genius and completely retarded when it comes to everything else. Rad takes his duties as Defender General only semi-seriously, occasionally abandoning his post to play "Gulch Tag" with reluctant fellow PRS members. He appears to be in trouble with the PRS higher-ups for not being a good example to his fellow heroes.
Past:
Rad once worked as a physicist until his line of work brought him directly into the path of a terrible accident in space, giving him his powers of radiation emission. While the accident caused him to irradiate everything around him, his battle suits actually permit control, as opposed to outright containment. He insists that he is not actually homeless, but lives "in the PRS base." He designs cheap, mass-produced robots for public defense, albeit on a small scale.
Curent:
Rad met Kuroda randomly while trying to find a reason to skip patrol... also, he thought Kuroda was a woman. After being useless in battle due to the length of his transformation process, Kur and Rad have a bonding moment where they both exchange "your mom" jokes. It's all downhill from here...
The appearance of Felis Kir's new prototype at Kuroda's house has interrupted Rad's chip stealing episode. He dislikes Felis Kir, but does respect him as a mechanical engineer; having said that, Rad has a serious bone to pick with Kir Industries, who use... unorthodox... forms of industrial espionage and blackmail to get their way. Although excited to see Kir's new prototype, he is nonetheless wary.
After introducing the Inugami to his "not-hit-and-run" tactics, Rad returned to his laboratory. Remembering his destructive past and not wanting to be inside, Rad joins Kur in listening to Manticore's announcement.
Family:
Unknown.
